Foreign Citizens wanting to support our program If you are a Foreign National based in the UK and wish to sponsor a Muktangan program you can make a donation to the Muktangan Educational Trust – UK, a registered charity with the UK Charity Commission, no. 1155393 established to support the work of the Muktangan program in India. If you are an individual who is a UK taxpayer, your gift should be eligible for the benefit of Gift Aid for the charity. If you complete and submit a Gift Aid declaration (available on the Muktangan UK – https://www.muktanganeducationaltrust.co.uk/donate ), Muktangan Educational Trust UK will claim a gift-aid benefit at 25% of the amount donated which will also be sent to the Muktangan Education Trust India along with the original donation. If you pay UK tax at above the basic rate, you can claim the difference between the rate you pay and the basic rate of tax on your donation through your Self-Assessment tax return or by asking Her Majesty’s Revenue & Customs to amend your tax code. If you are a Foreign National based in the US and wish to sponsor a Muktangan program you may route your donation through the Indians for Collective Action (ICA), a San-Francisco based non-profit group supporting our fundraising initiatives.  ICA deducts 4% service charge from the donations and shares the balance contribution to us.
