circle of learning
Role play in the home area leads to language development

Learning takes place in large or small circles enabling face-to-face contact. At a later stage when the older child has developed social skills this seating arrangement also facilitates collaborative learning and one-to-one contact between the teacher and the child.

Each classroom has designated areas, richly equipped with resources. For a substantial period each day in a session called "plan-do-review", the children are encouraged to make choices as to what they will learn with the help of these resources.

There exists a continuity of processes between preschool and primary. Since structures and processes in both stages are similar the children do not face the usual transition problems as they move from class to class.

The primary State Curriculum is transacted and enriched in an experiential manner.

The students are supported in their own construction of values through interactive experiences.
